How far in advance should I begin dress shopping?

We recommend you start looking for your perfect wedding dress 9-12 months before your big day! It can take 4-6 months to arrive once you’ve ordered it and you need to allow time for alterations. We also offer the option to place an express order for a fee.

Do I need to make an appointment to visit Ivory Fox?

Yes please. We’ve made our boutique by-appointment-only so it will be exclusively yours when you visit. Simply book your appointment here for a luxuriously long 2-hour appointment. If you require a late evening or Sunday appointment out of hours, please email hello@ivoryfox.com and we’ll do our best to make this happen.

What will my appointment include?

With our one-to-one service by-appointment-only, you’ll have Ivory Fox all to yourself. You’ll be able to explore our carefully curated collection and we’ll be here to help you find the perfect style dress, and the perfect fit for your unique body shape. We’ll also spoil you with complimentary champagne cocktails and tempting nibbles, so your appointment will be a wonderfully luxurious, relaxing experience.

What size are your sample gowns?

To help you find the perfect dress, we have sample gowns from each of the designer bridal collections we’ve chosen to include in our unique Ivory Fox range, ready for you to try on. Our sample gowns range from UK size 10-26, depending on the designer, so you can get a feel for the style and fit that will suit you best.

Do you offer accessories?

Yes, our bridal collection includes a range of accessories including veils, headdresses and belts.

How many people can I bring along to my appointment?

We advise you bring a maximum of three people with you, as too many opinions can be overwhelming. To help you choose the ideal gown, you want people there who will tell you the truth and be genuinely helpful. If you feel you’d like to bring along more people, then just let us know before your appointment.

What should I bring with me?

We recommend that you wear underwear that matches your skin tone, including a strapless bra and any other support underwear you’re planning to wear on your wedding day. If you already have the shoes you’ll be wearing please bring them with you. No worries if not, we have a range of sample shoes available for you to try on with your dress if you wish to. Please don’t wear fake tan to your appointment as this can stain the dresses.

What price range are your dresses?

Our wedding dresses and gowns range from £1,500 to £3,000. We ask for a 50% deposit when you order your chosen dress and the remaining 50% when you collect it. We also offer a payment plan to help you spread the cost between ordering and collection. You are also welcome to pay in full via debit or credit card, or bank transfer.

Do you offer in-house alterations?

No, but we can recommend some wonderful local seamstresses that we work very closely with.

Is there parking near Ivory Fox?

There are a number of free and pay & display public car parks in Wirksworth. You can find out more here.
